After six months of writing–and planning–I’m so happy to announce the official release of TEMPTED (A BirthRight Novel #2). I’ll admit, I was nervous to release the first book, TETHERED, as I wasn’t sure people would appreciate my “organic” writing style. But since I’ve learned there are plenty of people who appreciate it, I’m so excited to share this next book. And if you were a fan of book one, I promise, you will LOVE this next installment even more!
So what makes book 2 so special, you ask? Well, how about the fact that when something happens to Chloe and she can no longer tell the story, some of your favorite characters take over. Like…
Hunter Payne, Chloe’s love interest, and hottie extraordinaire! He has his own special “power”, but I won’t say what that is, incase you haven’t read book 1 yet. But in TEMPTED, you have a chance to connect with him in a new way. He’s flawed. He’s human (mostly). And he’ll do anything to save the girl he loves. And one of those things will have you laughing your @$$ off!
Next in line to tell the story, is Moira, Chloe’s mother, and a GHOST! That’s right, you’ll get to hear from a ghost. She has her own special journey through the book, but the story she has to tell will most likely bring a tear to your eye. There are things from the past–surrounding her death–that aren’t what Chloe believed. And she’s here to set the record straight!
And finally, we have darling Dru, Chloe’s brother, the Empath. If this sweetie didn’t steal your heart in the 1st book, get ready to fall in love. Well, that is, if you like the sweet, sensitive, emotional type of guy. But he’s an Empath, so he “feels” everything from those around him. Kind of hard to NOT be sensitive when people’s emotions control every moment of your life. Also, he has a new bond with Hunter, which is quite humorous most of the time. These two hotties have a way of bringing out the inner teenager in each other.
And of course, Chloe will still narrate half the book. But I’ll warn you, she won’t be the same Chloe you remember. She’s growing up, and you’ll see her change before your very eyes. Especially once Evil lures her away from her family–and their magical link.
And speaking of Evil, I’d be remiss if I didn’t introduce you to one of our newest characters, Xander Morrow, who does everything he can to steal Chloe away from Hunter. You might grow to hate him–but don’t be surprised if you hate that you end up loving him. Just sayin’!
TEMPTED is darker, has more magic and new twists-and-turns, while still maintaing the same heart and family connection from book one. I can’t wait for you to read it!
